Job Description Dean of Students Job Description: Develop and maintain positive repport at all times with teachers and supporting staff.
Oversee and implement system of consequences for excessive absences/tardiness, wich includes managing daily logs, ISS and OSS.
Track and report students with high absenteeism/tardiness.
Implement discipline for tardiness according to RVHS policy.
Communicate to both Assistant Principal and Principal when excessive absences/tardies exist with students.
Coordinate with attendance clerk to send attendance letters and make phone calls for absenteeism/tardiness (run daily attendance reports) (run bi-weekly tardy reports).
Assist with major referrals when needed.
Schedule students for classes.
Counsel with students in need (personal and educational).
Assist Lead Counselor regarding all testing requirements and procedures.
Develop and present information regarding at-risk behaviors among students.
Intervention with WMA blended students for credit recovery options through working with RVO faculty.
Establish and develop positive repport with teachers, parents and community.
Monitor hallways and parking lots to ensure student safety.
Coordinate, manage and direct RVHS dance through communication with Principal, Assistans Principal and Activities/Class Sponsors.
