GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Behavioral Health Success Coach position at Northland Pioneer College consists of supporting students in the
behavioral health program.
This position is a one-year position with the possibility of funding being extended by
the state legislature for a second year.
The Success Coach demonstrates a positive association with students, the
public, internship partners, and college employees.
Responsibilities will include supporting NPC's values: Integrity,
Inclusion, Adaptability, Civility, and Access; as well as upholding the mission to provide educational excellence that
is affordable and accessible for the enrichment of communities across northeastern Arizona.
The successful candidate will work closely with students in the Behavioral Health program to assist them in
achieving their educational and careers goals.
As a Success Coach, this position focuses on identifying and
eliminating barriers to student success, including barriers such as financial aid, child care, transportation, housing,
technology, and more.
The Success Coach will refer students to the appropriate financial aid or community-based
resources necessary to help students overcome these barriers.
This individual will also meet regularly with
Behavioral Health faculty and staff to coordinate internship opportunities across Navajo and Apache Counties.
The
successful candidate will coordinate with college Career Services to sponsor job fairs and facilitate employment
opportunities for program completers.
