Description: We are offering a one-time $500 sign on bonus after providing 90 days of dependable and consistent services! The position works with members with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in a supported employment environment.
The Supervisor will train and supervise Employment Support Professionals (ESP) working directly with these members.
The most challenging aspect of the position is designing and successfully implementing job tasks for members with IDD that will allow them to use their abilities to the full.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Directly supervise Employment Support Specialists (ESP) ensuring daily work activities are accomplished in a timely and organized fashion.
Ensure that agreements established in the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) contract are followed and individual member’s files are kept accurate and up to date.
(Objectives, skill plans, data sheets, quarterly reports, active treatment schedules, objective monitoring, professional contacts, progress notes, incident/seizure reports, face sheets, emergency cards, etc.
) Oversee and work in conjunction with ESPs writing ISP objectives for each member.
Work with Supervisor to design tasks and training strategies to promote maximum work outcomes for members.
Promote a productive work environment, oversee quality control procedures and ESPs assist members in meeting production and shipping deadlines.
Oversee and ensure that all daily and monthly maintenance of records and files are being completed accurately and timely.
Including attendance sheets, members’ and ESPs’ timesheets, monthly/quarterly reports for members and data sheets.
Assist members with personal care needs (eating, using restroom, transferring) as needed.
Train ESPs in proper techniques and care.
Demonstrate initiative and follow through in carrying out responsibilities.
Work with members in developing individual plans and training strategies, assisting them to communicate their needs and concerns.
Requirements: Supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to follow through in carrying out responsibilities.
Willingness to accept change and take on new responsibilities as needed Ability to maintain good working relations with fellow professionals, volunteers, families and adults served by EBF to encourage and maintain active teamwork and to deal with conflict in a professional non-hostile manner.
(Including appropriate dress and hygiene for the position.
) Knowledge of the individual planning process, strategies for teaching skill plan and methods of monitoring progress.
Knowledge of DDD/ Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) systems and knowledge of current best practices in supported employment is ideal but not required.
Experience working with individuals with IDD, preferably in an employment setting.
Any combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and ability will be considered.
If position requires driving an EBF vehicle, must possess a current/valid Arizona Driver’s license and be insurable under the agency’s automobile policy Ability to maintain current Level One Clearance Card, EBF will assist with application and fee.
Maintain current CPR, First, Aid, Article IX, EBF provides all paid training.
Must successfully clear a criminal background check and a Child Protective Services/Department of Children, Youth and their Families central registry check.
Physical requirements: The position provides direct support to members with IDD.
The position requires the following physical requirements.
Must be able to walk, run, climb, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, reach, stretch, bend, squat, and other physical activities.
Must be able to move to support individuals with IDD.
Must be able to operate a computer, wheelchair brake, vehicle lifts, etc.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
Must be able to communicate with individuals with IDD.
Must be able to distinguish smells such as gas and other noxious fumes.
