The City of Globe is accepting applications for a Fleet Supervisor.
This position will perform and supervise semi-skilled, skilled, and administrative work in maintaining the City of Globe's vehicles and mechanical equipment.
*POSITION REQUIREMENTS*
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Significant experience in mechanics, maintenance management and supervision of fleet operation or a closely related field.
* Knowledge of automotive mechanics, gas and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, fire pumps and valves, generators, and welding equipment.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective preventative maintenance programs, policies, and procedures.
* Ability to perform, supervise, and direct routine as well as complicated repairs to the City's fleet of vehicles, mechanical, and power equipment.
* Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public.
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
* Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
* ASE Certified Auto Mechanic or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience.
* Valid Arizona driver's license (CDL endorsement a plus).
* Must pass background, drug screen, and physical examination.
