Job summary
As a Plumber at Western Industrial, you will be performing installs, inspections and repair of pipes and plumbing systems to make sure the plumbing systems perform per design.
Duties and responsibilities
Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related material
Identify required tools and special equipment needed for job
Perform scheduled maintenance services on plumbing systems and fixtures
Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and maintenance
Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded
Install, repair, and maintain water treatment, storm water, sanitary, gas, and water piping
Install and maintain live sanitary systems with use of proper PPE
Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
Adhere to all rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on site
Meet or exceed company safety standards
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
A positive attitude, self-motivated, eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard every day
An ability to lead by a positive example and a commitment to working as a team
Attention and commitment to safety and an ability to follow instructions
Valid Driver s license and clean driving record if assigned to a company vehicle
Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to read and understanding plumbing blue prints
Working conditions
Must be able to accommodate customer needs by working flexible hours which may include weekends
Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, vibrations and a wet and /or humid environment
Physical requirements
Requires walking, sitting, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, grasping, crouching, stooping reaching and repetitive motions to a significant degree
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
